    lg

That is in my eyes a very naive attitude.

    - The other teams will improve before the the playoffs. KAC and Red Bulls will do some shopping. Riener, Schweda and Draskotwins have done a good job in the league games so far, but the playoff is a different story and a different sport.

    - How good are these players really? Riener is -6 and 0+2 in 26 matches... L. Drasko has 1 point in 23 matches, while C. Drasko has 3 in 32. Schweda is 0points but +4 at least. All in all these guys have done a good job for the team in the injury crisis that was earlier and they have got valueable time on the ice, but quality? no no no...

    - What if more injuries happen? Do you want to see a 3rd line with both the draskotwins in the playoffs? Do you think these guys can protect our stars? Never...We need some muscles and experience. To go into the playoffs without maximum kader would be very risky.

And as we remember from the playoffs last year..injuries will happen and the other teams will try to injure Lebeau and Gratton, that is icehockey..and that is playoffs. If Capitals is naive to start the playoffs without the maximum they can never be succesful. Semifinals can always happen, but to beat one of the big teams...never.

For me it seems like Sarault is a very nice player to put into the first line with Gratton and Leabeau. Hard working and good disiplin will fulfill the 2 stars in a very nice way, maybe he can also protect them a bit..

Boucahrd back to defence and a Capitals line up with:

    Werenka-Bjornlie
    Kranjc - Bouchard
    Casparsson - Lakos
    (Riener-Schweda)

    Lebeau - Gratton - Sarault
    DRod - Mrod - Rotter
    Teppert - Selmser - Nageler
    Kraxner - Ofner - Draskotwin

looks very compettive in my eyes. This team will even manage to take one or two injuries without falling apart.

Very likely he tried to play with the injury, specially with all the other injuries in Capitals. Maybe he is the victim of the other players who are now fit? Sometimes injuries go away...sometimes they get worse.

My main concern is anyway: is it now possible to get in a new forward? I doubt Tropper will play again this season. He is worth 3 points if i understand things correctly.

  • Transfer Deadline

    • 11. Dezember 2009 um 00:38

When is transfer deadline in EBEL this season? 31.12? 25.01? 31.01?

Which clubs will make deals before the deadline? Who has got free points to use?

For Vienna Capitas: I think not...Is it possible to bring in one new player with the points of Dolezal? If not, highly unlikely (if not injuries of course). Personally i would throw Tropper and Lebeau out the window..but thats only me :)

I guess KAC will get a goalie so maybe they will come to the playoffs at least...

Great! I was thinking about his injury when I saw this... :wall: ;(

When was that? Marcel had assist on the last goal so he must have kept on playing...(unless it was last 30 secs which i doubt).

Can we play the Red Bulls every day please? :)

    Positives today:

Discipline + Work rate and attitude. For me Kraxner, Teppert and Kranjc were the heroes today. Cassivi was also much better than last matches.

    Negatives:
Lebeau - Just keep on getting worse after his come back. I know you tell me to wait, but i dont see any progress. He was even worse last match...so maybe there is a progress, from awful to bad.

I think AV19 was very unlucky today...they were the better team on the night. All of their 2mins penalties in the 1st period was very cheap, and the 2nd goal for Capitals must be the biggest mistake in the goalkeepers career :) Cassivi had a very poor match for Capitals, and his form is worrying. Lebeau also had a horrible match. Good to have 3 centers at least back playing...

The most annying is anyway Gaudet and his complete inability to change something during a match. Why not take a time out when Capitals had 5 against 3 in 3 period? So passive. The only plan is: GRATTON! Before the start of the season there was talk about 4 lines...the way it has been lately it is more a question about the 3rd line. I know there are injuries and such, but it will never work in a playoff...never.

If i understand things correctly from Facebook, Gratton has lost someone close to him "papi Gratton", so very possible he will be missing for some time while he goes back to Canada for funeral and family gatherings.

Schweda was on the bench the whole match. Maybe not 100% ready after flu. Also Riener was not playing 3rd period.

I have to say well done to Jesenice. Hard work and much more clever attitude than Ljubljana on sunday. Capitals were forced to rethink before the last period and came up with the answers...but very stupid to give away one point.

Edit: I think the referee was excellent today...maybe untill the last mistake that cost Capitals the extra point, but if he doesnt see it, he doesnt see it. Brave to send Robins off early and kept the line on penalties through the match.

Well done to all involved in the Capitals for this victory, but specially:

    - Kevin Gaudet: Im not your biggest fan, but perfect tactics today and good lines!

    - Yosi Riener: Your best match by far in the Capitals (as I have seen at least). Impressive match.

    - Pat Lebeau: He is back...looking good :)

Hope others will continue to prove me wrong during the season [Popcorn]

Unbelievable... I say... get some young guns from the National League and don't burn the important ones.

WHITE FLAG! No more injuries please....
