Goalie Cassivi wurde geholt als "Play Off Spezialist". Was hast er in der Serie gezeigt. Sehr wenig für sein Geld. Für einen Import Goalie war das deutlich zu wenig. In jedem Spiel praktisch mindestens 1 vermeidbares Tor ist dürftig.

In match 4 in Ungarn Cassivi was the main reason why Capitals won that match. Match 1-2-3 was OK. Match 5 was horrible. Match 4, as said, excellent. All in all, ok.

Nice from the capitals-players to see them hug and talk to Satosaari after the match. Mutual respect even though lots of things are said and done during the matches
The match today....i dont know...A win is a win and it was entertaining, but if you play defence like that against Salzburg you will lose a lot! Gratton went from magic first assist to give away the puck to one of AVs goals. Rotter had a horrible match. Bootland and Lemieux with good goals, but also very easy to score against their line...Ups and downs for many players, also Cassivi was very unlucky on a few of the goals in 3rd period.
One week off now...and maybe Linz in the team to play? Let us hope...
(Did anyone else notice a very bad feeling between Rotter and Lebeau? It seemed they were arguing after every shift..?)
Just back from a nice trip to Hungary. Impressive from Capitals on away ice. Very nice home crowd for AV, even aplauded us after the match. Nice move

Bootland played just as much as Lemieux and Selmser. I dont think there was anything to question about Boots eiszeit.
Very good first 10 mins from Capitals. After the 1-0 and rest of 1st period was not good.

Yes, it is sad to see. We have a very limited coach. I have never bealieved a word about this wish to play with 4 lines. Now he has a great chance to do so....but he is not interested. Riener as defender nr 6 and Sarault as forward and you have 12 very good forwards. He doesnt want to do it.

This game sums up for me a lt of the problems to Capitals. They only have one plan if that doesnt work, nothing works. Even with 14 legios (or something) it is still 2,5 lines. And as ive said many many times...when there is an important match, Lebeau goes invisible. Incredible how he does it (Not that he was worse than others...like Rodmans or Lemieux)

Cool wäre auch eine EHL zu gründen, nach Vorbild der NHL. Dann müsste man halt die Divisions lokal einteilen (Schweden, Finnland, Norwegen = North Division; Deutschland, Schweiz = Middle West Division; Österreich, Italien, Slowenien = Middle East Division etc.) und zu viele Spiele außerhalb vermeiden um Reisekosten etc. niedrig zu halten. Dann nach der Regular Season das gleiche System wie NHL. Vielleicht könnt man so auch nen überregionalen Sponsor finden. Aber das ist nur Träumerei meinerseits und wird sicher nie zustande kommen. Schade eigentlich.

it is a big problem for the sport. Hockey on TV is boring. If this problem is ever solved...you are a rich man. You need to have seen 50 matches live to enjoy a hockeymatch on tv. Soccer, basket, handball...you dont even need to know anything.

ich war in london, stockholm und helsinki, jeweils relativ große gruppen.
I was also on these 3 matches, it is nice areanas and cities and everything...but the hockey...it is like watching a summer friendly. I refuse to believe this is how NHL is really played.
I prefer a normal hockey match in austria or norway over going to another city i think. Maybe Prague as ive never been there...

35 Frederic Cassivi: 4. Still think he is a first class goalie, but want to see one more level from him in the playoffs.
30 Rudolf Hummel: No Mark
Has done what he has been asked to do. One horrible period against Ljubljana (?). Hope he gets 10-15 matches next season.
Defence:
24 Darcy Werenka: 5
Very good season. Will be missed on the ice in the playoffs.
20 Peter Casparsson: 5
+21. Very professional season.
8 Francois Bouchard: 4
-4 is not good, but important in the playoff as he will take Darcys job. Good player offensive and in PP. Not so sure about the defensive....on the ice on 49 goals against. 9 more than the 2nd worst in the team.
28 Dan Bjornlie: 4
Much better second half of the season...will he take another step?
4 Philippe Lakos: 4

Had a very good month in december(?) but -7 shows weakness, is on his way up.

MUCH better second half of season, Ironicailly is his good form one of the reason why Teppert was let go.

Incredible start to the season but has not kept it up. "Only" very good in 2nd part of the season.

Invisible some matches, but is great others. Lucikly been more great than anything lately.

Almost top pointscorer in the team. Very good season.

Has hardly scored a goal in 2nd half and is not producing a lot of assists either. Still a good signing but not in the form he was.
29 Sean Selmser: 4
Professional and fights, but he is too slow...im not sure if he should get another year contract...
47 Harald Ofner: 4
A bit too much injured unfortunately.
22 Marcel Rodman: 4 (from 3)
Too much injured, but better on the ice in 2nd half.
13 Patrick Lebeau: 4 (from 1)
This is a tricky one. Start of the season was horrible, no doubt about that. Has been MUCH better lately, but mainly offesive. I dont understand why he is playing 4 against 5...doesnt make sense to me. He is not good at it and he should use his power in the attack. Very likely his last season and i give him 4 out of respect for him.
7 Kevin Kraxner: 3
+11 and very hard working. Is getting closer to the 4-mark.....
77 Christoph Draschkowitz: 2 (from 3)
Both the draschotwins have this "sorry im here" attitude on the ice. Fuck that. Show you hare hard and tough.

-10 in 18 matches is shocking and was clearly not fit enough to play when he arrived. He has however shown progress and could end up as a defender in the playoffs. Important with versatile players.

86 Christian Dolezal: never played. Will he ever be back?
