Does anyone know where one might get league rules?

Is everything specified regarding legionaires? There are rumors that Italian and Austrian teams want to have more legionaries - is it true?

Was halt bitter nötig wäre, wäre ein richtiges Lizenzierungsverfahren und eine Spielervertretung.

This should be the first criteria in ANY serious league (and it is so in serious leagues, not in EBEL though). In end of the season clubs should be without any debts to players. And should have proper warranty from sponsors that they can start new season ...

ONLY in this case club could get licence to start new season...even in other sports it is so and it's logical.

HDDO reports that they sent documentation to EBEL HQ telling that they payed everything to all players.

Well some players already reported that till now they didn't got any money :( ....who to belive (club wasn't trustful in recent years).

    Import 4 Punkt
    U22 Import 2 Punkte
    U20 Import 1 Punkt
Das Abkommen soll für 3 Jahre gültig sein.

Basic is set much better than EBEL league for domestic players and development of youngsters, we'll see how will things rolling during time. For start they will set some home page I hope?

No EBEL for Jesenice... ;( by newspaper DELO.

Head of the league wanted to see already signed contracts with sponsors for the EBEL competition from club .... Of course Club did not have them yet (they have preliminary contacts and promise from the sponsors), as League refuses to say if he intends to take the club in the EBEL.

Sponsors said they will support the team only if it enters the EBEL league .... Jesenice were literally slaughtered by the league. :cursing:

A decision on the future of EBEL league, its (un)enlargement and participating clubs in the coming season is expected to fall on tuesday (17.5.2016) on the assembly in Salzburg.

by the way... All this already last much too long... :(

According to initial plans, the decision on whether the league is really spread (or which teams will compete) supose to be known even in early April, a meeting in Salzburg on 7 April was postponed and predicted that things will be clarified in two weeks or until the end of April. This date, as shown, will not "hold" AGAIN. :(

So about EBEL league is nothing new. At a meeting earlier this month, although that they said that they will decide by the end of the month. The only thing we have since then new is that everything has been delayed. :cursing: The decision could be known until mid-May.

Leadership of the club, which is expected serious relationship is dissapointed, they didn't expected relationship like that. They thought that this is at a little different level than second league. Also given the fact that club have to acomplish certain demands from league till certain date, everyone would expect that they will also be serious.

With such a delay, club could have difficulties with sponsors, also every player would like as soon as possible solve the club's position, club would like to know only whether league will expand or not, because currently they do not know where they are and how to response. League set club in a disadvantage, maybe this is their intention - I don't know, but its not fair or good!...

Znojmo and Bolzano will remain in the league. They were doing pressure and threaten to exit. They were doing pressure on the leading people of league in order to obtain greater financial cake. And precisely because of the personal interests of some of the clubs there was no vote.
Olimpija like I said (problem) ... And problem are also manager agencies.

Well what I mentioned above was said on the meeting. WHY clubs said that - that some of them have other options/problems is mystery (before meeting there was no such problems - except Olimpias financial problems). Maybe they want to extort better terms for themselves - well I don't know. But that was the reason, why the meeting was over, without conclusion which was expected and planned...

One more thing. Olimpia chairman had to extend the meeting, he got a lot of new demands to fulfill and things to explain...

Now we all wait again - I have feeling all this is not serious anymore :( and harm clubs plans...

I sincerely hope that this time everything will be determined soon (in 2 weeks like they said).

Presentation of our club (Jesenice) has been excellent, club provided a bank guarantee in the amount of 1.4M € which is quite a lot for this region (that's the amount regardless the number of sold tickets, drinks and other incomes...).

The things got complicated when they came to a topic which concerns existing members of the league.

Znojmo is seriously considering to go into the Czech extra league which would be a new challenge for them. They have the invitation of domestic league on the table as we speak.

Bolzano is considering going back into Italian league (maybe another drama again), because EBEL league is too expensive for them.

Innsbruck has its problems too, because the club has become a hostage to all kinds of manager agencies, which is closely connected with money. (The story is somewhat similar to the last two seasons in Jesenice under sport director Z. Šuvak, where the club has become a staging post for foreigners).

Finally, two biggest problems that Olimpija has are money and sponsorship. The current sponsor Telemach is leaving them as it is going to sponsor ski jumping in the future. Besides, they have problems in the club because of financial indiscipline - they don't pay salaries to playes (only Roy gets money, so they can keep him in post for finals). In the past, only foreign players reported the financial indiscipline but this season some Slovenian players (only those with guts) reported that too. Anyway I hope that Mr. Popovic will move in the right direction and will be able to fix the open issues within the club (pay salaries to players).

CF (league director) said a while ago, that they will present the info at 20th march if league will expand (or take new clubs) and in case of new clubs, they will vote about new participants. Also that league format will be known till end of march...now they have "stampa silencio" :( WTF!?

First date is over and still no news. League doesn't look serious.

A lot of rumors circling around, anyway it should be official.

@DarthOne : I suppose Jesenice would prefer if Ljubljana remains in the league? Are there information in Slovenia, how to continue with Ljubljana?

Yes of course, Jesenice would prefer if Olimpija remains (if Jesenice get into the league of course). With that all gets (win-win situation): it will be more spectators, club fans and league gets another big derby - with that more spectators, also we shouldn't forget on financial impact, good promotion for hockey and probably hockey will be back on TV in Slovenia, which is good also for sponsors and consequently for clubs. This derby and rivalry is long and it's like (VSV vs KAC in Austria i would presume).

About second matter: Ljubljana want to proceed in EBEL since its easier to get sponsors for EBEL than in some second league (also they will easier try to repay their debt) - anyway it'll be still tough for them next few years, because they still have 660K debt to repay till 2019 (they need to start with repaying in 2017 i believe) and for now they didn't get any new sponsor - only Derby company, wich gives them free bananas from now on  (they announced a week ago that they are working on that).
Also they promised (again) to give missing salaries (last was from september 2015) to players till end of may 2016. I'm obviously not their fan - anyway I don't believe their leadership, because they lie to players. First salaries should be in november, than december....after that they said it'll be in januar for sure...well till now, they didn't get nothing yet or very little, and now mr. Popovič (LJ Chairman) announced (again) that they will probably get salaries till end of may - well my opinion about that guy is not good. Anyway for the sake of players and sport I hope they get salaries and stay in EBEL - with Jesenice in EBEL they know that they will have more spectators and of course that means more money....

    We'll see, what'll happened...

EBEL league leadership has recently visited Podmežaklo hall (Jesenice) and it was positively evaluated. Jesenice have a good feeling, but the answer, if they will return next season in the league remains (depends from the league and clubs).

A clear picture of EBEL league for next season will be known soon. It has been said that 20 March is the date when it will be clear whether the league will be expanded and for how much. By the end of the month it will be told which candidate(s) should be adopted, because they want a day after the end of the season to present the format of the competition and the participating clubs.

If the proposed format of the league will hold, league will choose from the five candidates. Chairpersons (club presidents) of the participating clubs will be on the move to tell if they agree with the new candidates. And if that proposed club can join the league - for that, new club(s) need support of two-thirds of the clubs.

Where did you hear/read that ?

Read again (bold)...talked to the people close to the club. Their words - not mine, I belive them though, since I know how some people are working in klub (#samomutnaposlapress&nosalariesforplayers).

I hope they resolve all things and manage to stay in KHL!

ATM Medveščak is already repaying players. Now they are negotiating with main sponzor (gasprom) for now its looking good with other sponsors and their goal is to stay in KHL (I was watching interview with Gojanovic on RTL hr - they said, they're staying in KHL).
But they still have problems, they owe money to partners and personell (doctors, physiotherapist, etc...). Those close to the club said if they dont't manage to stay in KHL club will fall in amateur level.

About EBEL (C. Feichtinger said in interview for EKIPA newspaper, that they will get answer from Medveščak in 2 weeks). He said Jesenice fulfilled the first conditions, also he said that IF league expands, it will be only to 14 clubs. The EBEL league will in the future also discussed possible restrictions on foreigners who actually ruled all the (Austrian) clubs.

Jesenice have similar "problem". It's hard to get sponsors for INL since league is not advertised, it's not recognisable and it's barely mentioned in media (to be on TV is just a dream).
With possible entering in EBEL, story would be/is different. Sponsors would give more money (and it's even easier to get new sponsors). EBEL league is respected and recognisable league and it's also appearing more in media so it's easier to convince potential sponsors to enter in "project".
The second problem is that u can't convince good domestic players to play INL league so they rather go to play for free in Ljubljana (since they are not paying them salaries :( - till now they got only one, except goalie Roy who was payed in full to stay because they want to get home title in national championship) or to some better ranked league from foreign country.
Also people were used to watch good hockey (Jesenice were 34 time national champions, compete in Alpenleague, were first foreign club in EBEL...) and not to play with some "strange" clubs from 2. league (VEU excluded)...Well that's reality atm. I hope on some good news soon, or we are doomed...

    please tell mr. knoll/bolzano foxes...

Haha...I'm fammiliar with that drama till august (IMHO that is not serious/unproffesional, from league or from team to wait so long)...and they have a lot od italoamericans who they could sign even in september if needed. We don't have such a large player (sloamericans or good home playes able to play EBEL) base and team shouldn't be built with 10+ legionars...
