    Nach seiner kurzen, verletzungsbedingten Pause feierte der Österreicher Christoph Brandner in der vergangenen Nacht in der NHL sein Comeback und konnte gleich einen Sieg bejubeln. Bei den Phoenix Coyotes setzte sich Minnesota mit 3:2 nach Verlängerung durch, wobei Brandner keine Scorerpunkte erreichen konnte. Der Österreicher wurde 11:10 Minuten und 14 Shifts lang eingesetzt, beendete die Partie mit einer ausgeglichenen Statistik.

    Wild Victorious In Final NHL Game At America West Arena
    Minnesota opened its three-game Western Conference road swing with a 5-2 win Monday night against the Phoenix Coyotes. LW Andrew Brunette led the way with three points (1-2=3). The Coyotes got on the board early, scoring at 4:35 of the first period. C Jason Wiemer answered with a deflection at 11:47 of the second period to tie the game. Coyotes LW Brian Savage scored just 44 seconds later giving the home team a 2-1 lead. LW Matt Johnson then tipped a C Jim Dowd shot to even the score 2-2 heading into the third period. LW Andrew Brunette potted his seventh goal of the season and third point of the night at 11:43 of the final period. G Dwayne Roloson stopped 18 shots between the pipes and D Willie Mitchell returned to the blueline for the Wild.
