    Nach dem Umzug der Quebec Nordiques musste ein neuer Teamname gefunden werden. In Anlehnung an die Lawinenabgänge in den bergigen Regionen rund um Denver war die Avalanche geboren.

    Nice, stopped the 3 loss game streak at the right time an d still holding on to the top od division.

    Top line did the job yet again and is producing brutally with 57G+91A!

    ...but I got to be honest. I don't think it will be enough for a deep run this season. The Goaltending is kinda okey, but the defence as a whole is too weak imho to carry the team further than round 2.

    Don't get me wrong, the 1st line is awesome and fun to watch, but as often seen, it's pritty easy to shut down the only dangerous line of one team in playoffs. There is no one, beside Rantanan, McKinnon & Landeskog who gets work done offensivly if needed.

    What a fight for wild card spot!

    Barrie - 4 goals in last 3 games has now equalised legendary Ozolinš in most goals by a defender in franchise history!
