Bewertung aus authockeytxreports.wordpress.com, auch kurz über MAxa, anlässlich der U20 WM:
Was immer man davon halten will, eine Meinung von vielen
Max Zimmermann
He is the top Austrian talent at the position, and to be honest I only saw him twice this season before he got hurt, while I was also watching others, so I have little to say. The main question will still be, will Vienna have the courage in him to eventually make him their number one?
Fabio Artner
He’s a small forward with good speed, good hands, and great passing ability. However, the concerns around Artner are genuine concerns. He is generally considered to be a defensive liability, and his physical deficits both in terms of length and in terms of strength are hard to look beyond. He is a center in the Erste Liga, and a very good one at that. However, it’s not clear that he projects as a center moving into top-tier hockey, where opponents will be significantly better able to match his pace. Even over the past year, his forechecking capabilities have increased. However, time is running out before he will be expected to play at the top-tier level, and there is still much room to cover. It also goes without saying that he must gain weight if he is anything near his listed weight, and he does not appear to be significantly above it.

The first off the list are Lukas Schreier and Alexander Maxa. Schreier is one of the best defensive-defensemen in the Austrian junior system. He was even named Salzburg’s top talent by Helmut DeRaaf. However, aside from one impressive rush against Germany, he is fairly limited as an offensive contributed. Furthermore, his frame leaves much to be desired. Maxa is a great presence in front of the net and in the low slot, and can occasionally accelerate to bring the puck into the zone.
