    8:0 Schüsse bist jetzt im Schlussabschnitt. Wenns so weiter geht, sollten die Jungs das Spiel nicht mehr verlieren und einem Showdown gegen Belarus steht nichts im Wege. ;)

    Aus dem Ticker werd ich jetzt nicht schlau - anscheinend Führungstreffer für die Franzosen durch Bastien Maia, der aber eine Minute zuvor eine 2+10min-Strafe wegen CTHNA bekommen hat ?(

    The French scored two of four with 2 men advantage (1st goal was scored 1 second after the first of twp penalties against AUT expired so it is de facto still a PP2 goal). Haven't seen the game but I'm not too inclined attributing this loss to a goaltending problem.
    AUT didn't manage a PP goal today and only one yesterday but conceded more than enough PP goals. And the penalties taken that gave rise to the French GWG seem like a complete letdown of discipline...
    This tournament is a big wasted chance unfortunately.

    They were very preventable goals, and the second one was a ridiculous case where Holzer ran out to the edge of his crease to trip Haudum so the french forward could shoot on an empty net. The third was a poor break on a turnover but it was still a skater on goalie situation and the goalie has to win. There's no excuse for giving up 4 goals on 17 shots. You're right, it was absolutely a letdown of discipline, Birnbaum's penalty was extremely stupid and Wachter's was needless. However, the 5v3s weren't a constant barrage of tough shots that Holzer blocked off one after another and finally he succumbed. The french got very few shots off during those 5v3s because of good defending and the both goals scored were scored with Holzer facing the shooter.

    Derzeit 4:0 gegen Weißrussland hinten (10' vor Schluss), massiv von den Torschüssen her unterlegen...der Dampf ist wohl endgültig draußen.
    Insgesamt sehr schade, super angefangen und dann mit viel Unvermögen und von mir aus auch ein bissl Pech stark abgebaut.

    Before the tournament one of the assistant captains said in an interview the goal was to remain

    You get what you seek. Some of the younger kids were angry when they saw that interview. If your aim is just to stay at that level, especially with as much talent as they had then you need to adjust your goals.

    In Ermangelung eines besseren Threads, es steht ja das letzte Vorbereitungsturnier der U20 vor der WM an (in Lettland, geht morgen los), konnte bisher keinen OEHV Kader finden... Hab ich denn nur übersehen oder wurde noch nix veröffentlicht? Danke für Hinweise.

    Danke sehr! Kader vom 5.10., da wird sich wohl auch noch was geändert haben...da scheint man auf die U20 vergessen zu haben in der Öffentlichkeitsarbeit.
