Maximilian Haselbacher, Goalie, not Forward: http://www.eliteprospects.com/player.php?player=263773
Maybe it is a stupid question but why is Dominic Zwerger not on this list? I'm from Dornbirn and so Zwerger ist our only big hope at the moment. I'm not really into that topic, I hope you can answer my question.
Zwerger had a pretty good season and played very well at the (was it U20?) world tournament. I'd love to see him getting one of the countries best. Let's hope the best!

Zwerger ist eh in der Liste dabei... An 2.

Wow, sorry my bad haha, that's pretty embarrassing, I corrected it though. He is definitely not a forward.

He's second behind Mario Huber, but that was a hard decision. He's a much better passer than any of the other 96s and 97s, and does good work along the boards. At the end of the day Huber is just an incredible talent, he's larger, and Zwerger is committed to the NLA next year while Huber is keeping his options open.

Rossi actually played juniors in Dornbirn as well. Vorarlberg in general has been a great hotspot for talent.
Oh, sorry, I've just seen that Zwerger is on the list. Do you know to witch club hel will go? Did he already sign a contract? I'd like to see him in north america or in Dornbirn, nowhere else
You have missed Benjamin Lanzinger, who is probably the best player in our U-16 League. I also think that Fabian Sertschnig is better than Benedikt Wohlfahrt, but that is just my opinion.

He has a Swiss player license, so he will not count against the foreign contingent in Switzerland, like Adis Alagic. His goal right now is to play there, though if an AHL team shows interest I think he might sign there as well...I think his next move will be Switzerland. I think it is sad how few Bulldogs are native to Dornbirn.

Here's where I want to learn more so that I can be more accurate with my chart. Benjamin Lanzinger as of right now is the best forward in the U16 league as far as skill is concerned, that is hard to question. I've heard though that's he's struggled with injuries and is injury prone, is that the case? Another potential problem is his size, listed at 172 cm, though one source says he's grown to 175. His dad for certain was not a small man, but he is one of the oldest U16s (turned 16 in January), a full half year older than many of the other U16s, so I'm also curious about how big he really is now because he may have less time to grow than some of the others. As you probably figured, Wohlfahrt is on the list because he's been doing very well in the international circuit, including 6 points in Dresden. Sertschnig outperformed him in the U16 level but Wohlfahrt had the edge in the U18 level as well as a U20 call-up. The 2000 class is by far the deepest class, making the 5 and 6 spots largely a guessing game. Other potential candidates could be Rauter, Peskoller, Rebernig, and even Felix Muller. Rounding out a top 10 would bring into consideration Mayr, Antal, Metzler...
In an interview Zwerger mentioned he hopes to play in switzerland, if there is noch chance for him to play in the nhl. So sorry Bulldogs Fans, i guess Zwerger will never be a part of your team.
He could still become a good player, nevertheless, Klagenfurt will not have the same problem with him that Dornbirn has with Zwerger...

Is there a source? In theory it's definitely a possibility, however CHL clubs traditionally don't prefer having a single player fill both one of two overage slots and one of two international spots...also while the AHL is a stretch he is one of the better rookie free agents available to swiss clubs, with his contract ending this season I'm not sure he'd rather play junior another year than sign the dotted line, but perhaps you know him personally or have more information on it.

First of all, I'd love it if more people did their own lists. Mine is by no means better than anyone else's, and the reason I made it was to get the conversation started and bring more visibility and interest to the next generation.
I had a long struggle between Killian Zündel and Clemens Poschmann for the +1 spot in the 2001 class. I thought for about 15 minutes and eventually went with Poschmann but Zündel also has a very strong case. Pfeffer offensively is strong but lacks defensively and is extremely small...has time to grow however.
Hochegger scored the most points in a peewee tournament in 2014 so there was much excitement at the time. However, at the time I remember telling myself "(Adem) Kandemir will be much better" and I was correct. Hochegger actually began the U16 season playing on the U16 team, while Kandemir played with the U15 team. Hochegger played a fourth line left wing role next to Tim Harnisch and did fairly poorly, such that Harnisch also looked fairly poor. He is very small (160 cm), he lacks reach and cannot control possession through contact. His puckhandling and skating skills are also not near those of Baumgartner, Harnisch, Rossi. Later in the season Kandemir was promoted to the U16 team and Hochegger was dropped to the U15 team and actually still struggled a little at that level. Kandemir meanwhile as I foresaw was promoted to the U16 team, and scored quite a few points from the second-line with Tim Harnisch.
Haha, I genuinely would love to see where you all would rank Lanzinger. He has definitely been a dominant player at times. A few points for me, last year playing in the 6 nations tournament both he and Baumgartner were underage (Lanzinger is 2.5 months older), but Baumgartner managed to score quite a few points and Lanzinger got but one assist in the tournament. Then coming into this season he began having unexplained headaches which kept him out for most of the season, and I don't believe this is his first injury. Another point was size, which is also a question mark for Baumgartner, who began the year at 1st on my list before Payr passed him. I tend to like bigger players and try to avoid the Philipp Haas or Julian Klockl's. However, I have struck out going with big players before, such as Benjamin Trink.
The 2000 class is just wonderfully talented however, it's very hard to choose. Baumgartner, Maier, and Payr are very obvious choices. Huber and Rebernig are incredibly imposing forwards. Rebernig is the most physically gifted player in the class, he's extremely quickly and fairly fast, he's strong and he has good instincts, his skills however are not so refined. Huber is not as athletically gifted but he is extremely skilled technically and is still extremely strong and athletic, plays like a 188 cm Marco Rossi. Matteo Peskoller and Lukas Jaunegg are two large defenders. Peskoller is build like a JV American football player, and is a very good passer. Jaunegg is even taller, he needs to become stronger and improve his offensive skills but he is an extremely good defender and shows athletic potential. Then Lanzinger, despite being short is built very well, if he could grow and avoid any more injuries as well as improving his performance against quality competition he will have an extremely bright future. Behind them is Dominik Rauter. He began the season on a line with Payr but was demoted and David Maier was promoted. Rauter is loose with the puck and doesn't demonstrate good passing or shooting skills. He does have quite a bit of upside to him however, plays like a smaller, slower, less technically sound Payr. Then there are Fabian Sertschnig and Benedikt Wohlfahrt. Wohlfahrt is physically gifted, which has allowed him to play at the U20 level and has the speed to play on a line with Baumgartner and Rossi but is noticeably weaker than the two. Sertschnig flies heavily under the radar with talents like Lanzinger and Wohlfarht on his team but actually outscored Wohlfahrt in U16 league play. Then there is Patrick Antal who I haven't seen play however his stats this past season were incredible. All in all, how does one choose 6 from this list...
@Teamplayer bin deiner Meinung.
