Presentation of our club (Jesenice) has been excellent, club provided a bank guarantee in the amount of 1.4M € which is quite a lot for this region (that's the amount regardless the number of sold tickets, drinks and other incomes...).

The things got complicated when they came to a topic which concerns existing members of the league.

Znojmo is seriously considering to go into the Czech extra league which would be a new challenge for them. They have the invitation of domestic league on the table as we speak.

Bolzano is considering going back into Italian league (maybe another drama again), because EBEL league is too expensive for them.

Innsbruck has its problems too, because the club has become a hostage to all kinds of manager agencies, which is closely connected with money. (The story is somewhat similar to the last two seasons in Jesenice under sport director Z. Šuvak, where the club has become a staging post for foreigners).

Finally, two biggest problems that Olimpija has are money and sponsorship. The current sponsor Telemach is leaving them as it is going to sponsor ski jumping in the future. Besides, they have problems in the club because of financial indiscipline - they don't pay salaries to playes (only Roy gets money, so they can keep him in post for finals). In the past, only foreign players reported the financial indiscipline but this season some Slovenian players (only those with guts) reported that too. Anyway I hope that Mr. Popovic will move in the right direction and will be able to fix the open issues within the club (pay salaries to players).

Would Jesenice be prepared to join the EBEL even if Ljubljana leaves/is forced to leave?

I've asked about it in Czech Forum ....
All Fans don't believe it, they are strongly against joining the Extra League. It also wouldn't be a new challenge - Znojmo was allready
in the EL, before selling their license to Kometa Brno. They don't miss it.
Besides, there are heavy doubts about joining the EL without any sportive qualification on the ice.
    That's what Czech Fans say.

There wont be a italian league in 16/17 anymore, but hey, maybe they found a new reason for some drama.

I don't really think so. Also I would use the word "drama" for way waaaaay more serious things.

For sure we don't go back to the italian league, our Fans are happy with the Ebel, we have found new sponsors. Last season we became more professional. So Ebel or nothing.

Lol like what? Someone started dating a new girl? A girl is being stolen by another guy? Drama isn't supposed to be that serious of a word is it?

Well what I mentioned above was said on the meeting. WHY clubs said that - that some of them have other options/problems is mystery (before meeting there was no such problems - except Olimpias financial problems). Maybe they want to extort better terms for themselves - well I don't know. But that was the reason, why the meeting was over, without conclusion which was expected and planned...

One more thing. Olimpia chairman had to extend the meeting, he got a lot of new demands to fulfill and things to explain...

Now we all wait again - I have feeling all this is not serious anymore :( and harm clubs plans...

I sincerely hope that this time everything will be determined soon (in 2 weeks like they said).

Ang. werden von Laibach, Jesenice und MAC jeweils 1.4 Mio. € Bankgarantie verlangt.

Znojmo and Bolzano will remain in the league. They were doing pressure and threaten to exit. They were doing pressure on the leading people of league in order to obtain greater financial cake. And precisely because of the personal interests of some of the clubs there was no vote.
Olimpija like I said (problem) ... And problem are also manager agencies.

DarthOne talks as though he was at the meetings, so perhaps he himself is a source. However, darth you kinda sound unsure of yourself and what's going on, as if you were there but you were just the janitor mopping outside trying to hear the conversation through the door.

OneDarth was not there ;). That much I m sure, but it can be that he s got the informations from somebody that was. There a lot of rumours nowadays, so we ll see what will happen. The situation with Olimpija is not good at all - that s the only fact, all the other things are just wild guesses.
