Players of the Week:
-Lawrence University Vikings junior defenseman Josh Peterson (Duluth, MN) and Finlandia University Lions junior goaltender Lukas Alberer (Poertschach, Austria) are named co-MCHA Defensive Players-of-the-Week. Peterson, a biology major and team captain, recorded two assists each night versus Northland and led a defense that held the 'Jacks to a 2-for-22 showing on the power play and yielded just 11 shots in Saturday's 5-0 victory. Alberer helped the Lions to the split, as he was was the winning goalie in Sunday's 2-1 victory. He stopped 26 of 27 shots and blanked Marian on five power play opportunities.
