    Hallo Leute, ich kann mir die Highlights auf NHL.com im "normalen" Firefox Modus nicht mehr anschauen, im "privaten" Modus gehts jedoch. Hat da jemand eine Lösung, oder möchte die NHL uns Europäer wieder sekieren?

  • Saison 2011/12

    Auch einer aus dem 2008er Draft, Myers wurde da noch vor Karlsson an 12. Stelle gezogen. Damals auch dabei Cody Hodgson, Ennis, Stamkos, Doughty, Eberle, Adam um mal einige zu nennen.

  • Wer kennt sich mit Mountainbikes aus?

    Mit den Radon-Bikes an sich habe ich keine Erfahrung, bei den verbauten Teilen machst du mit diesem Rad sicher keinen Fehler.

    Ich habe mir vor 2 Jahren auch ein Mountainbike im 1000 Euro Segment gekauft, habs bis jetzt nie bereut, hat mich immer sicher und zuverlässig begleitet und kleine Schäden kann (verbogene Schaltung usw.) kann man nie ganz ausschließen.

    Ich würde aber auch nicht auf eine persönliche Beratung verzichten, schon wegen der richtigen Rahmengröße.
    Einfache Reparaturen (Bremsbeläge bei den Scheibenbremsen wechseln, Schlauch/Decke wechseln usw.) mache ich selbst, alles was mit der Schaltung zu tun hat lasse ich mir vom Fachmann wechseln/einstellen. Dort ist mir die Gefahr zu groß daß ich irgendwas verstelle, da nehme ich die paar Euro dafür gern in Kauf.

    Wegen Komponenten aufrüsten, ob es bei diesem Rahmen dafür steht, wage ich nicht zu beurteilen. Ich würde nur dann etwas besseres raufgeben wenn etwas kaputtgeht.

  • Thomas Vanek Saison 2019/20

    Buffalo, NY (WGR 550) -- There were only 23 games this season where somebody wore the "C" in a game for the Sabres. Lindy Ruff had four assistant or alternate captains in Derek Roy, Jochen Hecht, Paul Gaustad and Jason Pominville. When Craig Rivet was claimed by Columbus, Thomas Vanek joined that group. Others to wear the "A" at times were Drew Stafford and Tim Connolly.

    I found it interesting that when Roy and Hecht both returned from injury in Game 7, Hecht got his "A" back, Roy did not. Vanek kept his. Lindy Ruff has this warped idea that Hecht is some type of a leader which is totally wrong. If he had his way, Hecht would've been captain of this team long ago.

    That brings us to next season. What will Ruff do with the captaincy? Will it be captain of the month again? Will he not name a captain? Is the captain not here yet or is there a guy on this roster?

    For those of you that listen to me you know for over a year, I've been pushing Vanek as captain. He was much more vocal in the room when he got the "A". This is a man that cares deeply for this team and how it performs. There is a chance it could go very, very wrong. Vanek could crack under all the responsibility and you might never get him back. On the other hand, the winger needs to be needed. Every time Ruff gives him more responsibility on the ice, he plays much better.

    Vanek is a seven year pro. He has a steady family life and isn't out on the town. As far as if he's ready Vanek said, "If it happens it happens, if not I'm not going to be disappointed. If it comes up, I'll take the challenge, I'm always a guy that welcomes challenges. When things aren't good I think I'm pretty honest with you most of the time or all the time I guess."

    As far as who Vanek would like to see be captain he said, "It really doesn't matter who, we have a lot of guys in here that have been together for a long time and respect each other. I think we're at a point where guys aren't afraid of calling each other out and just be honest and I think that's what it takes and moving forward that's what we'll have to continue to do."

    I'll get into some of his other responses with the season over and you can judge for yourself if he has what it takes.

    Vanek's ultimate goal is to win the Stanley Cup and he thinks this team has gotten closer, "I really do. I think with Terry coming in especially. He has a mindset that I think a lot of guys really, really like and care for, I know I do. Terry just brings another element, the way he talks to guys and he cares. You can tell he cares so much and that's what hurts even more because you know you let him down too. Going forward I think the mentality is in the right place and I think that's a big boost"

    Losing Game 7 when many including the players thought they blew an opportunity in Game 6 with a two goal lead. Vanek said, "For me it's the toughest loss because I saw so much more potential than it was. I think we're so much closer as a team (comradery) than the teams were coming out of the lockout so that's what hurts because you know there was more in this room."

    Vanek scored five goals in seven playoff games. Last year against the Bruins he had two goals in three games giving him seven goals in his last 10 playoff games. Vanek still thinks he let the team down, "I thought I was going pretty good for most of the year and then I didn't get the job done in the playoffs so that personally hurts and it's something I don't want to happen again. I don't care I scored five goals, anytime you lose a series, you have to be better. Each one of us has to look at himself and see what he could've done better to win the series."

    So Vanek will spend another summer in Minnesota with the Flyers series gnawing at him. This is a man that is passionate to be a Sabre. I think giving him the "C' would help make him the best he can be.

  • Saison 2010/11

    War eine interessante PK, lockere Stimmung finde ich, mit ein paar kleinen Seitenhieben an Bettman, Pegulla ist wahrlich ein begeisterter Anhänger der Sabres. Gute Werbung für die Zukunft, die sicher gut ankommt. Man darf gespannt sein wann diese Vorhaben verwirklicht werden und natürlich auch dementsprechend greifen.
