A - let us wait for playoffs. No point to have the same players if Capitals lose in the quarters this year.
B - The squad is already too old. Tropper and Sarault i can not imagine getting new contracts. But i would also guess Lebeau hangs up his boots after the season with all the injuries. He is too intelligent to destroy his body on this. Im not sure about Selmser either. Some changes are always good in a squad. And more 1-2-3point players from Austria please...

i totally agree, Bjornlie is a key player and was very good in last years playoffs, so i am not worried about his performance.
I read it on the capitals forum, it might be a joke for all i know, but it didnt seem that way.

Dan Bjornlie is rumoured to have signed for another season in Wien.
I hope most of the players will be judged after the playoffs, not before. So far so good, but only 50% of the season is done...The hard part starts now, and this is the time to stand up and be counted. Not to get a new contract. (Im not saying it is wrong to give Bjornlie a contract, but let us focus un the ice now and on the papers later.)

I cant believe this. I left when AV scored the 5-2 goal....why oh why? Only checked final score on ORF on the mobile...and wake up to big fighting news in Kurier! Frustrating.

Kraxner - Selmser - RotterAnd Ofner+M. Rodman to return from injuries + Drasko*2...It looks ok at least. (Lakos is banned tonight, very clever to give him the suspension before the playoffs!)

Die Entscheidende Frage ist: Was passiert mit Sarault? Wenn wirklich noch ein zweiter Legio kommt, sollte der wieder abgemeldet werden, oder?
I think M Rodman or Werenka might be abgemeldet. No point to release Sarault...he is after all fit

I might not agree with what Caps are doing here, but that is not Lemieuxs fault. I say: welcome to Capitals!
From stats he looks allright, but most interesting is that he is a center...is M Rodman more injured than first thought? I dont think this guy will play 4th line center...

It is fascinating how the commentators are more concerned about the number of penaltyminutes than the injured player. Even when they see it in slow motion they sometimes dont seem to get their priority right.

letztes jahr war auch 4 on 4 - frage an die statistiker: fallen bei 4 on 4 schneller oder prozentuell mehr tore als bei 5 on 5?
4 on 4 gives much more goals. And is ok in the sudden in the league matches...but a disaster in the playoffs. Why use 4 on 4?

these are defenitely good news you mention. We (VSV) really hope to get this lousy Vienna in play off! We are searching hard for an appropriate team, but now it looks like we found them. Our guys are pretty fit! You remember last match...If you play a 2,5 lineup most of the season at least in January you get a burnout what's happening just now. Have you ever heard "Jännerloch"? Innsbruck had the same desease and just watch where they finished.
Yeah, of course it is easy to pick Capitals as the team to wish from top4, that goes without saying. Bad form and with the physical style VSV play you can easily take out Gratton or M. Rodman...and Capitals is like a dead fish in the water.
However I still think Capitals will beat VSV, Alba Vola or Zagreb in a quarter finals. KAC will be harder.
