@Coldy
Was das angeht bist in letzter Zeit wirklich schon sehr dünnhäutig unterwegs hmmmmm
genau. Gaudets tradings are the most positive about him.

Bouchard out - Julien in? Finde ich gut.
Nicht so gut: Julien is french-canadian (i guess). Then it is likely that Gaudet has had something to do with a possible deal...
As much as i hate to admit it, Salzburg is quite simply a great team. Totally professional in every aspect of the club. Of course you have the money, but still, it needs to be done. Last year in Capitals Lynch was invisible in the playoffs, this year he is the championship winner for Red Bull. You have managed to create a winning culture that is rare.
The other clubs in the EBEL are lucky to have Red Bull Salzburg in their league to measure against.
Congratulations. Well deserved.
wem drückst du die daumen ?![]()
Hehe Ich bin Norweger.

Good friday comes with good news.
If Capitals keep on trying the the same players and same coach, it will be the same season again. Change is good.
Thanks a lot to Lebeau for many very good matches. But let us not forget there were also many matches where he was completely invisible or injured. Good luck whereever you may go.
And the final is: Vålerenga vs Stavanger Oilers!
For the second time in th short history they are in the final. Last time was on 2006 and ended with a 0-4 loss to...Vålerenga of course.
Vålerenga is natural favorites with better team and home advantage, but Oilers have a great coach. I will go home to see finals 5-6-7....just hope to avoid a 0-4 loss again. 4-0 win i can take
Mr X: Du antwortest dir selbst:
When a player has 75% of his points in the playoffs this shows he is a clutch player:
"In sports, clutch refers to a competent and/or superior play during high pressure situations. Most often it is a successful action taken under high pressure during a game, usually at the end, that may result in a significant change on the game's result." http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Clutch_(sports))
Rotter was this PO clearly a clutch player.
Rotter in GD: 28 punkte in 35 spiele.
Rotter in PO: 15 punkte in 12 spiele.
He was best when it mattered.
Marcel Rodman however scored 2 goals in the PO. Both after linz had started celebrating in match 7.
M. Rodman in GD: 42 punkte in 38 spiele.
M. Rodman in PO: 8 punkte in 12 spiele (2 of these were after the semis was over).
M. Rodman is a classic choker: "In sports, a choke is the failure of an athlete or an athletic team to win a game or tournament when the player or team had been strongly favored to win or had squandered a large lead in the late stages of the event. Someone who chokes may be known as a choker or, more derisively, as a choke artist. Choking in sport can be considered a form of analysis paralysis.
The opposite of choking is to be clutch. A clutch player or team rises to the occasion under pressure rather than collapsing." http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Choke_(sports))
D. Rodman was better than M. Rodman. Marcel must be given credit for playing in 2 lines, but his performance in the PO was not much better than Cassivi and Kranjc.
Well, I definitely don't agree.I wish Lebeau to stay
I don't mind if Rods stay - they are not superstars, but you need a solid 2.Lineand finaly I don't really mind if Gaudet stays
as to Cassivi - I wouldn't mind either, but I think he would mind himself
LG Eva
Then we look at things very different. I look at at sport team to make themselves a best possible chance to win something (in icehockey this means playoff). If i support a team that doesnt have enough money or not able to get the best players then i have other targets (beat Liverpool). But Capitals have the money and the chance to be winners, but they dont win, and that is not good enough. Rods are good players in GD, and clueless in PO. Gaudet is entertaining, but clueless in PO. If a sport team does not set demand there will develop a very dangerous culture within this club. If virtually all players are allowed to keep playing after a complete PO fiasco, then the club says: "this was acceptable".
And guess what, the same will happen next year!
You can have the nicest and newest arena in the world. You can have all the money in the world. It doesnt matter if you dont have winning culture. And this is completely missing in Vienna and Capitals. Go to KAC and you feel it. Salzburg have managed to create it. This ability to be best when it really matters is something that not all have. I have been blessed to watch Aamodt, Kjus and Svindal the last 20 years in the alpine slopes, they were always best when it mattered. And then there are others who never took a gold medal in the big championships. In alpine skiing there is not a lot you can do if you are the coach of a chocker. But in icehockey you can try to fix things after a bad season, you can make changes and get rid of the chokers. But what does capitals do? reward them.
Hockey is not about solid 2nd lines or being nice. It is about winning. Look to Salzburg! Look to Vålerenga in norway. When a team (apart from Storhamar) meets them in the final they fall apart just from the idea of having to play Vålerenga in a final. There is nothing scary about Capitals.
Why? Rodmans will fail again, thats for sure. Why should not Cassivi be given a 2nd chance? Rodmans will get their 3rd now...
As long as Capitals use the same players (more or less) next year, then it will be the same result. Thats very simple. Specially with the same coach. 7-0 against Ljubljana, 6-4 against Alba Volan...good play in Grunddurchgang...and failure in the playoffs.
bleiben sollen (schon so gut wie fix): gratton, d. rodman, m. rodman, casparsson, björnlie, riener, ofner, nageler, kraxner, dolezal, lakos, schweda
If the Rodmans are allowed to stay, then Gaudet can stay as well. Those 2 are just as much to blame for the embarresment as Cassivi and Gaudet. Once they sign for next year, championship 2011 becomes an impossibility. Loser players playing for a loser team in a loser organisation. I really hope this doesnt happens.
If Lebeau and Rodmans sign up for another season...then..well...2011=2010. Be prepared to be disappointed. Again.
So he was responsible for the 3 wins, but not the 4 defeats?
That is a trainers job. He is responsible for all results. Regardless how they come. He was the one who made decissions to play with 3 lines and he was the one that broke down Cassivi, his own goalkeeper. And he didnt manage to change the momentum the last 3 matches. It wasnt like he didnt have enough time...
Schmid knows, that players and fans have lost all confidence in Gaudet. There is absolutely no chance that he will continue as coach of Vienna Capitals. During the next few days they will meet and decide the payoff that Gaudet will receive.
The club can not start another season with Gaudet in charge, as long as he is in charge, the development is set up "pause". And he doesnt even know how to win.
Very good contribution giorgio76.
I agree with a lot you write, but not Lebeau. He is not much better than Rodmans. Scores many points against the lower teams and many points in one match...then disappears completely. He is far behind Gratton and Rotter. But i guess he is too old now anyway, so it is not necessary to discuss him anymore.
I hope around 60% of this years squad stays for next year. Some changes are always good and necessary.
Clean Choke.
Congratulations and lots of respect to Linz! You outplayed and out-tacticed 3/4 Capitals-lines in the last 5 matches. Only the 1st Capitals-line made it exciting. Very well done and lots of good luck in the finals (which Salzburg will win easily).
100% NO: Gaudet and Cassivi. Gaudet will of course be sacked within a week.
Must get rid of:
Kranjc
Rodman and Rodman
Selmser
All totally invisible in the playoffs
Will probably leave:
Sarault, Bouchard, Tropper and Lebeau due to injuries and age and need of change.
Must stay:
Rotter
Gratton
Bjornlie
Ofner
Werenka (if fit)
Others like: Casparsson, Bootland, Lemieux will have to wait.
Austrians: I hope most of them stay and continue the good work.
Most important is to sack Gaudet as soon as possible and start working on next season from tomorrow.
How many times will Guadet do the same thing and apply a defensive tactic when being in front? It just does not work. Capitals have a line up with offensive power who does not master the defensive parts that well. Still he keeps insisting on giving the control of the game away. Of course it is unlucky to get the goal against you with only 50 secs, thats life. You get what you deserve.
Well done Linz!
The defensive part of Bouchards play is not top class. He must be one of the players in the league with most minuses. Also many pluses and top class offense of course. But Bouchard is not even close to Bjornlie in overall game as defender.
I dont mind if he stays, but a defender must be able to prevent some goals and chances...
NEVER give him a new contract. Never.

Leckerbissen? My goodness...it was one of the worst performances i have ever seen on ice. To lose the puck 3 times on offensive blue is not leckerbissen. 10 goals doesnt make a match lecker in anyway. Not the goals it self. It could be...but yesterday was not lecker at all. Some of Capitals goals were class, but all in all the shocking defending totally ruins that.
Playoff is about conceding less goals than the opposition. To score 4 goals has no value it self. I preferred the awaymatch in Linz on tuesday instead of the personal errors yesterday.
Another comment regarding the "gute wetter fans" (or what they are called). Im one of them. And i think i am in my full right to complain after such a match. I would rather be worried about the "gute wetter players". They are paid to do a job which they didnt do yesterday and they should know the fans do not accept such a complete lack of professionality. When i pay for something, i demand something back. Yesterday i didnt get that.
What a joke. The whole arena can see this is going to hell, but Gaudet cant do anything...nothing! If plan A doesnt work, he is clueless. Cassivi, Kranjc (very bad form), Bouchard...so many with mistakes today.
The most important on sunday will be to avoid taking the lead...and for gods sake avoid powerplays!
This was the end of the season...even if Capitals wins in match 7, it will be impossible to beat Salzburg with 2,5 lines without rest before the finals.
(Since i always moan about Lebeau: well done with 2 goals!)
Well done to Linz for never giving up.
Kurier heute.
