If austrians wants league without financialy unstable clubs they wont accept Medvescak into league. They dont need team that will destroy image of league and cheat with numerous passports. We all know that league were watching through medvescak's fingers when it comes to dual-nats because of "ice fevers", "pula classic" which boosted attendance. I hope we won't be accepted in EBEL but in Alps league, less money, more domestic players.

I heard rumors that future boss of KHL London's team will also be sponsor of Medvescak in EBEL and that Medvescak will have wealthy budget.

So how many teams will play ? 18 or 19 ?
I am sure Medvescak 2 will do just fine. Core of team will be last year's U20 that reached Jugend EBEL finale with some reinforcements from KHL squad (Zanoski).

Yes, that is the plan. If they join it would be players from all three Zagreb's clubs (Medvescak 2, Mladost and Zagreb), playing under name Medvescak.

If they will decide to join, probably yes. Slovenia certainly wont fill five places (maybe one or two, three in the best case scenario). So the league will probably need extra teams.The only problem is the distance, because most of the teams are from South Tyrol and western Austria.

Medvescak will have good team if joins. They played well in EBEL U20. With few senior players and maybe one-two drop out from KHL, they can be good.

I am not very good in german language, so what is status of EBEL 2 ? How realistic it is ? If become reality, I hope Medvescak 2 will join it, they played very good jugend EBEL and have a lot of good players that can play in EBEL 2.

Villach is lucky. They will overrun Medvescak and reach finals without problems.

I don't see how the fanbase can be behind this KHL team. I was told that the local rivalries, the most reasonable rivalries are all in the EBEL. It's very hard to make a rival out of CSKA or Torpedo. Furthermore, we all complain about Austrian teams being mercenary filled but the Medvescak team is all mercenaries except for arguably Zanoski in order to stay competitive. A passive fanbase is generally a road to less revenue.
Does Kapfenberg have a good chance for membership next year? I'd really like having a club up there, maybe get another youth club into the system as well.
exactly. I would rather see us losing against KAC and Olimpija with two lines of domestic players (jugend ebel team of medvescak doing well in ebel), than losing to novokuzsomething with 20 foreginers that are just waiting to bolt for richer team.

Read again (bold)...talked to the people close to the club. Their words - not mine, I belive them though, since I know how some people are working in klub (#samomutnaposlapress&nosalariesforplayers).
I hope they resolve all things and manage to stay in KHL!

So, basically, it means either KHL or nothing (almost, because Slo league is big downgrade of course)
