With regards to the coaching post, I don't think there needs to be change but I think there need to be conditions for change. Losses to Belarus and Slovakia, unpleasant but maybe not unexpected. The loss to Italy, inexcusable, but maybe not by itself enough to warrant being fired.
Change right now may not be helpful. But there needs to be conditions that "if X, then we part ways with the regime." For example, if the team does not get promoted to the Elite World Championship this year, there needs to be a change. It doesn't have to be that, it could be something else. But while on the one hand change just for change's sake is not helpful, it is not good to get into a complacent state where the team is doing worse and worse every year and the federation just says "what can you expect?" On the one hand they can't be judged too harshly, but on the other hand there does need to be accountability, they can't have a blank check to do as poorly as they want and still keep their positions.
