Not true actually.. only European and Australian based Croats.. most of the North and especially South American Croats (huge groups) are from the monarchy period..

Eigentlich Dalmazien und Istrien waren in dem österreichischen teil der Monarchie und Nord Kroatien war in der Ungarischen.
Pula war der Hauptkriegshaffen der Monarchie und es gehoerte zur Oesterreich.Slava: The Nord american based are mixed there also from the monarchy perios as well from WW2. In south america about 80% are from the Monarhcy and the rest from the 50ies.

Also ehrlich gesagt finde ich das sehr geschickt von Zagreb. Hätten wir so viele Österreicher über die Welt verteilt, würden einige EBEL-Vereine genau dasselbe machen, so viel sich ihre Fans jetzt auch über Zagreb aufregen möchten.

Früher sind halt Legios eingebürgert worden um das Reglement zu umgehen, so funktionierts halt mit Doppelstaatsbürger. Man darf auch nicht vergessen dass in den 90ern viele Kroaten ausgewandert(geflohen) sind, also seh ich nichts verwerfliches dass sie jetzt als Einheimische gelten.

Auch in kroatien gilt ius sanguinis... es besteht also überhaupt kein unterschied zwischen den leblers und den zigzag-kroaten, nur das letztere ihren pass eben noch nicht beantragt haben...
