    2 bedingt + 2 unbedingt (6 Wochen Probe auf die bedingten)

    If i understand the Statement from the Senat correctly 2+2 (6 Weeks) was the absolutely minimum they can hand out. They even "overruled" the Ref decision of CTHANA and used the minimum ban for "High Sticking + Injury".
    The Youtube Video is really bad, cause if i understand it correctly the Penalty and Ban have nothing to do with the bit roughing between Prpic and Duncan and is based on the Situation between 0:13 and 0:16 in the video when a Zagreb Player hits a RBS Player in front of the net. The video quality is really bad to watch this one any closer. Is there any better quality of the situation + eventually closeup on the action in front of the net where everything happened

    Ne gabs keine, warum auch der Raffi is damals doch völlig unberechtig ausgezuckt *schulternzuck* Typisch Senat halt, wobei ichs eben interessant find das scheinbar angefangen wird schon Ref Entscheidungen zu overrulen mittlerweile.

    Nur Spieldauer - keine Matchstrafe. Glaub ich halt.

    gegen wen? gegen den linzer? der hatte ja keine matchstrafe. Die krux ist, und dieses Ei hat sich der Senat jetzt mit der lysak-entscheidung auch noch selbst gelegt, dass es sehr wohl möglich ist, einen Spieler nach einer Matchstrafe ungeschoren (als mit einer "Rüge") davon kommen zu lassen. Den einzigen Unterschied, den ich sehe, ist, dass es hier eine Verletzungsfolge gab. Ob duncan weitergespielt hat oder nicht, weiß ich nicht. Doch erinnern wir uns an unabsichtliche High-sticks mit "Blutfolge" ( ich glaub, fortier war da einmal "täter" auf jeden fall war's live auf servus), da wurde auf Game misconduct entschieden - und das zu recht.

    This really gives me a big laugh!!! Austrian referees are big joke! And this "Penalty Senate of the Erste Bank Eishockey Liga" aswell.
    2 min penalty would have been enough. I've heard that in many games austrian refs are totally out of the game and doing their job one-sided for the austrian teams, but this is way too much.
    And this crybabymidget Ryan Duncan...

    They based the 2+2 fine on that exact youtube video i posted (words from Medveščak officials on Croatian forums) because they somehow managed to broke/corrupt the official video file from the game. Very professional from the league....

    this is the rule for high sticking (sorry for german, but I don't have the english rulebook):
    530 - HOHER STOCK (HIGH STICKING)
    a) Ein Spieler der seinen Stock oder einen Teil davon über seine eigene Schulterhöhe hält
    oder führt und so einen Gegenspieler berührt, erhält nach Ermessen des
    Schiedsrichters eine:
    - Kleine Strafe (2’)
    oder
    - Grosse Strafe + automatisch Spieldauer-Disziplinarstrafe (5’+SPD)
    oder
    - Matchstrafe (MS)
    b) Ein Spieler der seinen Stock oder einen Teil davon über seine Schulterhöhe hält oder
    führt und so einen Gegenspieler berührt und hierdurch verletzt, erhält nach Ermessen
    des Schiedsrichters eine:
    - Grosse Strafe + automatisch Spieldauer-Disziplinarstrafe (5’+SPD)
    oder
    - Matchstrafe (MS)
    c) Wird die Aktion mit dem hohen Stock, die eine Verletzung verursachte, als zufällig
    erachtet, erhält der fehlbare Spieler eine:
    - Doppelte Kleine Strafe
    (2’+2’)

    but basically, it says that when the high sticking was undelibarete and it causes an injury, the ref has to call 2+2.

    come on take on the chin weather its correct or not.

    your team is not the only one not too happy with some bans (remember abid or raffl or far worser hebar).

    @bourque: für lysak gabs eine rüge, weil das für sein vergehen die mindeststrafe war. für andere sachen (z.B. CTTHANA) ist die mindestrafe höher als "rüge".


    ich würd dir das gerne galuben. vorstellen kann ich's mir allerdings nicht. "Mindeststrafe: Rüge" würde ich gerne irgendwo geschrieben stehen sehen.

    After Banham got all broken and absolutely nothing happened you expect us to get just over this? Read Slovenian, Hungarian and Croatian forums a bit.. people are furious with referees. All we have to discuss is that.. instead of the games and actual sport. It's a shame really..

    and you clearly missed my point: you can call the ban a disgrace (which doesnt help see above) but dont come along and post that shit bans only happen to the non austian teams.

    it happens to (almost) every club in the league, see above.

    naja, da gibtsS doch diesen ominösen starfenkatalog. ich würde gerne wissen, ob das da tatsächlich drinsteht. wenn ja, asche auf mein haupt, wenn nein sollte der starfsenat trotzdem Gelegenheit haben, anhand der videoaufnahmen zu sagen: der ref hat sich geirrt. Imho-tep.

    edit: dazu kommt noch, dass es ja eben kein CTHANA war. hier wurde also eh schon overruled.

    When they finally give me a reason not to do (and more importantly - believe) that, i won't. What is happening this season proves otherwise. Chill on the arrogance.. no need for that..

    would prove my words first before calling another one arrogant.

    what bout the bans i mentioned above. almost everyone on here agreed they were far too harsh.

    and again, thats the rule: you cant appeal. and again thats what i called a shame

    so get over it. we all have to do so.

    and to mention bim: i spoke to him concerning the kaspitz foul - which, i agree is worth far mor than 2 min. answer"thats part of the game we play".
