Saison 2003/04

    Kann mir nicht vorstellen, daß M.Johnson für'n Christoph eine Bedrohung darstellt, da er im Vorjahr in 60 Partien gerade mal 8 Punkte, dafür aber 201 Strafminuten hatte.
    Naja, ich denk schon, dass es schön langsam knapp wird von ihn.
    Er bekommt einfach weniger Eiszeit als früher (seit dem Gaborik und Dupuis da sind).
    Und Matt Johnson ist bei Lemaire gesetzt. Er ist kein Spieler, der Tore oder Assists macht, jedoch ist er fürs physische und psychische Spiel extrem wichtig.
    Ich kann nur eins sagen:

    Tja.
    Damit dürft er sich wieder ein wenig Prestige verschafft haben. Hoffen wir, dass es weiter so geht und er vielleicht mal wieder mehr als 10 oder 12 Minuten Eiszeit bekommt.
    Lemaire dürft auf ihn setzen. Jetzt liegt es an ihm.

    Ich war ganz entsetzt dass er gestern gar nicht am eis war und hab mich gleich schlau machen müssen und hab eine Antwort für sein fehlen gefunden:

    Briefly: Lemaire said defenseman Willie Mitchell, out since Nov. 20 because of a sprained left knee, will play Monday in Phoenix.

    • Left wing Christoph Brandner missed Saturday's game because of a bruised left foot. He was struck with a shot during practice Friday. An X-ray was negative, and his status is day to day. That left Darby Hendrickson as the only healthy scratch.

    Leider nichts zu holen gab es für Chris in der NHL.

    Er durfte nicht mal spielen. Nähere Infos ob er verletzt ist, oder er von Trainer Lemaire nicht spielen durfte ist noch nicht bekannt.

    DENVER (AP) -- The Minnesota Wild won their first regular-season road game in Colorado and forward Pascal Dupuis responded with a deep sigh of relief.

    "Finally a win here," Dupuis said. "But you have to remember that's a pretty good team over there."

    Dupuis and Filip Kuba scored to lift Minnesota to a 3-2 victory over Colorado on Wednesday night.

    Sergei Zholtok added his 100th NHL goal, and Dwayne Roloson had 37 saves for the Wild, who won their third straight and have lost only twice (5-2-2) in nine games.

    The Avalanche were 7-0-2 at home against the Wild in the regular season and had outscored them 31-18.

    "I think all the boys feel really good," Minnesota coach Jacques Lemaire said. "When you work hard and you win, there isn't one guy in the room that doesn't feel good. It's all about effort and wins."

    Minnesota rallied from a 3-1 series deficit against Colorado in the first round of last season's playoffs and eliminated the Avalanche by winning the final two games in overtime. Game 7 was a 3-2 victory in Denver.

    Joe Sakic had a pair of goals, and Milan Hejduk and Steve Konowalchuk had two assists each for the Avalanche on Wednesday. Colorado had its unbeaten streak ended at eight (4-0-4).

    "I think we were very flat and you can't play like that, no matter who you are playing," Colorado coach Tony Granato said. "No matter when it is in the season, you can't come out and get caught flat like that."

    Minnesota led 2-0 after the first period on goals by Dupuis and Kuba. Dupuis sent a shot from the slot over David Aebischer's left shoulder at 4:31 after Jason Wiemer fed him the puck from along the short boards.

    "That was huge for us," Dupuis said. "Right now we aren't scoring many goals, and then to get the first goal was a big plus."

    With Peter Worrell serving a penalty, Kuba scored over a sprawled Aebischer from the left circle at 13:34.

    "Sometimes it's the third and sometimes it's the first," Aebischer said about Colorado's first period. "Tonight it was the first. We have to try to play 60 minutes, then we should be OK."

    The Avalanche got back in it on Sakic's 10th goal at 7:34, scored on a backhander from the slot. Zholtok restored Minnesota's two-goal lead at 13:33 with a shot from in front of the crease after Colorado defenseman Karlis Skrastins fanned at a clearing attempt.

    Sakic's second goal of the game came on a return pass from Konowalchuk at 16:53 while Colorado was on the power play.

    Roloson's best save came at 3:26 of the third period when he made a last-second lunge to deny Andrei Nikolishin after Roloson stopped Sakic's wrist shot from the slot.

    Minnesota took a 3-2 lead into the third period, which was scoreless.
    D Brad Brown and LW Christoph Brandner were scratches. Newly acquired RW Eric Chouinard will join the club in Minnesota on Friday. C Darby Hendrickson was placed on waivers earlier today.

    Sicher, wenn man "gescrached" wird, dann ist es nicht optimal. Aber es können eben nur 4 Linien spielen und wenn fast alle fit sind, dann muß es pro Match ein paar "Scratches" geben. Christoph ist sicher auch noch nicht wieder fullfit. Er mußte letzte Woche auch noch Antibiotika nehmen wegen seiner Grippe vor 10 Tagen. Denke, dass er heute Nacht gegen Edmonton wieder eingesetzt wird, sofern er eben halbwegs fit ist und 2 werden dann wieder "gescrached" werden. Übrigens hat die Saison über 80 Spiele und da spielst als "Rookie" meist sowieso nicht alle. Den Rythmus kriegst nicht von heut auf morgen. Halten wir Christoph weiter die Daumen. Ich find,, er macht es auf jeden Fall ganz gut!

    Ja dann hoff ma, dass er wirklich nur was mit seinem Haxen hat. Ich hoff Lemaire setzt weiterhin auf ihn. Schade halt, dass die Wild recht gut spielt und öfters gewinnt wenn er nicht spielt. Wird zwar nix damit zu tun haben, aber würd ihm öfters ein Erfolgserlebnis gönnen.

    Chris is leider verletzt. Auf www.nhl.com, steht er hat nen Bluterguss erlitten, anscheinend im Training verletzt.

    Nun haben sie RW Kyle Wanvig, vom Farmteam Housten geholt und Brandner nur auf die Reserve.

    Wild place Brandner on injured list, recall Wanvig


    ST. PAUL (AP) -- The Minnesota Wild placed left wing Christoph Brandner on the injured list on Thursday and recalled right wing Kyle Wanvig from Houston of the AHL.

    The move is retroactive to Monday, when Brandner aggravated a left foot injury at Phoenix. He was struck in the foot by a puck during practice last week.

    Brandner has four goals and three assists for the Wild this season.

    Wanvig had nine goals and seven assists with 62 penalty minutes in 28 games with Houston. He had one goal and 13 penalty minutes in seven games last season with the Wild.
