Arena was a bit too expensive for regular season (500k euros per game). Gojanović (Medveščak president) said It will probably be used from next season.

Problem is ice and the fact that they'd have to book Arena for 10 days if they wanted 2 games.... but apparently Arena will get "permanent" ice from next year... when they were building the venue they didn't expect that hockey will become so popular in Croatia :)

Game will be played here. Tickets go on sale since monday but its expected that they will be gone in few hours. So if someone plans to go from Austria it would be best to reserve them online or call/e-mail the club so that they could reserve it for you.

It would have cost 1 Million € for 2 Games? wtf!?
Would be great for you if you can use the great arena for the complete season 2010/2011

Whats the capacity of the big arena at hockey games and what attenadance will probably come? Would be hard to imagine that you also can nearly sold out each game there like it is the case this year.

Yeh, this temporary ice would cost like gold :)

It would be impossible to have whole regular season there :) Few games and playoff yes, but whole season no way.

    Capacity is ~15k.

Its expensive venue. Only handball club is using it for Champions League matches. Usually its used for concerts and similar stuff.

In case of bad weather the game will be played at "Velesajam", and there will be no fans present, because the Velesajam is small ice court with no tribunes, there is only a balcony over the court.

And one more thing about the Arena, ticket for home games at Dom sportova costs 4 €, so 15000 people × 4 € is not enough to cover expenses.

vetzo: Thank you for the information. And in the meantime I also think in the open air arena is already an ice rink, so there are no extra costs to play two games there, isn't it. Srecno bb.

If any Caps and Villach fans plan to go you better hurry with tickets. Sale starts today at 12:00 and its expected that tickets will go very soon.

They can be purchased at any random eventim shop.

They let new bunch of tickets on sale now... seems like it will all go now and nothing will be left for match day like its usual practice with Medveščak game.
