    MINNESOTA WILD RE-SIGN LW PASCAL DUPUIS

    SAINT PAUL/MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. – Minnesota Wild President and General Manager Doug Risebrough announced today that the National Hockey League (NHL) club has re-signed LW Pascal Dupuis (pronounced pas-KAL, doo-PWEE) to a multi-year contract.

    Dupuis, 24 (4/7/79), played in a career-high 80 games with Minnesota last season and established career-highs in goals (20), assists (28), points (48), penalty minutes (44) and game-winning goals (4). He led the club with a franchise record +17 rating and finished second on the team in goals and shots (183), tied for second in points and third in power play goals (6). The 6-foot, 196-pound left wing added eight points (4-4=8) in 16 playoff contests.

    The Laval, Quebec-native was signed as a free agent by the Wild on September 18, 2000. Dupuis made his NHL debut on April 2, 2001, at San Jose and scored a power play goal in his first-ever NHL game. He has registered 76 points (36-40=76) in 160 career NHL games with Minnesota. Dupuis is scheduled to skate with the team in Buffalo on Monday at 2:00 PM Eastern at HSBC Arena.

    Brandner spielt meiner Meinung nach eh nicht schlecht gespielt bei den Wild.

    Hoffe er bleibt im Team ! :biggrin:
    geh schon mal davon aus, daß der brandy drinnen bleibt; er ist immer einer der forwards mit der meisten eiszeit, und die kriegst vom lemaire nit ohne leistung ...

    aber selbst eine vorübergehende demotion in die minors wär kein beinbruch; ist im ersten nhl jahr auch schon ganz anderen kalibern passiert (und hat denen auch net geschadet) ...
    naja, angeblich berührt die neuverpflichtung bzw. weiterverpflichtung brandy's platz nicht. mal sehen.... ich hoff es für ihn!

    wenigstens ist der zweite top-mann (name mir entfallen ist) nicht wieder eingestellt worden. d.h. ein gegner weniger, und brandy kann ja auch an anderen positionen spielen, also wird er sich schon seinen platz erhalten denk ich

    Gaborik, dupuis, parks und Brandner haben auch Platz in einem Team, Klasse muß ja net immer aufgeteilt werden ggggg :biggrin: :bigsmile: :laugh: :inlove:

    naja, auf der wild-hp gibts einen comment vom management, der schon ziemlich angfressen klingt; kommt mir wie eine letzte warnung vor, daß die gaborik-berater ihren standpunkt nochmals überdenken ...

    also so persönlich seh ich den gaborik nimmer in einem wild-trikot, ... diesmal tipp ich schon sehr stark auf die rangers, daß die da zugreifen ... die haben die kohle, derzeit auch die spieler für einen trade und va benötigen sie wiedermal einen spektakulären neuzugang, der auch einschlagen wird ... ;-)

    btw, dupuis und brandy haben gestern beide gespielt (und bei brandy bleibts bei der vielen eiszeit) ... also schauts schon so aus, daß der lemaire mit ihm zufrieden ist ...
    brandy wird sicher drin bleiben denn er ist ja bei den besten scorern derzeit, ok einem rookie sieht man zwar immer mehr auf die beine aber ich glaube und hoffe dass es ihm nicht ergeht wie divis!
    äh sorry ich dachte der gaborik hätte schon unterschrieben? oder hab ich mich da getäuscht?

    nun egal, ich denke, daß er auf jeden fall drin bleiben wird! da gibt es andere die gefährdet sind! dupius und gaborik sind scorer, brandner wird mehr defensiv eingesetzt, also ergibt sich daraus meiner meinung nach kein konflikt! aber warten wir die nächsten tage ab!
    was ist jetzt mit dem gaborik??? ich habe jetzt schon in mehreren medien gelesen, daß er unterschrieben hat (unter anderem world sports auf cnn - und die sind meistens sehr gut) aber auf der wild page steht noch nix! weiß jemand bescheid?

    SAINT PAUL/MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. - Minnesota Wild President and General Manager Doug Risebrough announced today that the National Hockey League (NHL) club has re-signed RW Marian Gaborik (pronounced GA-bor-ihk) to a multi-year contract.


    Gaborik, 21 (2/14/82), played in a career-high 81 games last season and led Minnesota with 65 points (30-35=65). The 6-foot-1, 190-pound right wing also led the club in goals (30), assists (35), shots (280) and game-winning goals (8) during the 2002-03 regular season. Gaborik became the first Wild player to participate in the NHL All-Star Game last year and tallied a goal and two assists in the contest. He was named NHL Player of the Week (10/20/02 - 10/27/02) for the second time in his career after tallying eight points (3-5=8) in four games including a six-point performance (2-4=6) in a 6-1 victory at Phoenix (10/26/02). Gaborik also led the Wild in playoff scoring with 17 points (9-8=17) in 18 games.


    The Trencin, Slovakia-native was the first-ever draft pick of the Minnesota Wild, selected in the first round (third overall) of the 2000 NHL Entry Draft. He has tallied 168 points (78-90=168) in 230 career NHL contests with Minnesota.
