Hier einige Kommentare aus Foren, die ihn mMn sehr gut beschreiben:
Scott Stevens was a warrior, and I'll never forget how he caught Lindros with his head down and sent him to Queer Street. The middle of the ice was his kill zone.
arguably one of the best defenders and checkers of the last 10-15 years and the anchor of those devils cup teams. shame to see him go but it is nice to see him go on his own terms rather than risk serious injury and have his career end on a much sadder note.
Stevens was the nastiest SOB on the ice everytime he stepped over the boards
He epitomized the clean hit. He will be missed.
He may not be quite the legendary leader like Messier was in NY but he came damned close. He was one of those special talents that warranted the cliche, "he was born to be a hockey player".
Danke Scott! Wir werden Dich vermissen!
